"Sparkle," a rebuilding of the 1976 film of the same name, informs the tale of three siblings who become Motown celebrities who have to cope with the demands of popularity. Austin performs Sparks' mom.
The part was Houston's return to the big display after a 15-year break from performing in films like "The Bodyguard" and "The Preacher's Wife". It will be Sparks' first major film part.
Houston was found deceased in a Beverly Mountains resort shower on Feb 11 from what government bodies said was random sinking due to drugs use and center problems.
